Hyderabad-based fireworks supplier Megastar Fireworks has launched an online shopping facility for fireworks for this Diwali.
The company has already delivered fireworks to close to 50 customers through its online initiative and intends to attract as many as 80 customers by next week. "We are receiving inquiries from across the country. However, our service is available only in Hyderabad right now," he said.
Talking about the company's future plans, Kumar said, "We are looking at metros in south India. After Hyderabad, we are considering Bangalore and Chennai and will invest about Rs 1 crore for the expansion."
According to Kumar, Megastar Fireworks procures fireworks from Sivakasi. Last year, the company's turnover stood at Rs 25 lakh (Rs 2.5 million). However, with the launch of the website, Megastar expects a growth in turnover by 30-40 per cent.
