Nokia Siemens Networks plans to increase manpower at its Global Network Solutions Centre (GNSC) in Chennai to 1,800 from 1,000 by the end of 2011 to meet growing demand.
It also on announced the expansion of the centre by relocating activities to a bigger facility at Navalur, near Chennai.
The centre, set up in 2007 with around 120 employees, provides remote delivery support in areas, including care, network implementation and managed services, to telecom operators.
