Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd on Friday said its board has given the go-ahead to a voluntary retirement scheme for Group C and D employees.
In a statement, the company said its board, which met on July 17, approved the VRS for Group C and D employees.
The company also announced its foray into 'Mobile Commerce', which will enable the customers to transact business with the help of their mobile.
The project is being launched in Mumbai with the technical support of C-Sam of the United States, a company release said in New Delhi.
