Indian software services firm MphasiS BFL Ltd said on Wednesday its January-March net profit rose 41 per cent from a year earlier to Rs 187.2 million.

The group said its fourth-quarter revenue rose 44 per cent to Rs 1.21 billion.

The results were lower than expected. A Reuters poll had forecast the firm would post a net profit of Rs 207 million on sales of Rs 1.28 billion.
