Sri Lanka on Tuesday called for further enhancement of trade ties with India and said a white paper has already been prepared identifying areas for cooperation.
"India and Sri Lanka have to ensure that bilateral relations, which had been initiated more than a decade ago, are nurtured and allowed to grow further," Sri Lanka's Minister of Industries Rohita Bogollagama said while inaugurating the first 'Made in India' show, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in Colombo.
The minister said a white paper on areas of joint cooperation has been submitted to the Indian government and the Indian side has assured to work on the proposal very closely.
He asked the business houses to fully utilise the $100 million Line of Credit extended by the Indian government.
