CK Birla group company Hindustan Motors on Monday said it has increased the prices of premium sedan Lancer marginally by upto one per cent.
The revised price of Premium LX petrol variant (ex-showroom Delhi) would be Rs 734,000, while diesel model sports a price tag of Rs 829,000, a company statement said.
In the Privilege-XL category, the petrol version will cost Rs 826,000 while the diesel version of 2 litre Elegant-LE will cost Rs 10.01 lakh (Rs 1 million). The 1.8 litre model is priced at Rs 734,000.
"We have increased the prices of Lancer because the recent levies in the Union Budget have lead to an increase in prices of raw materials and other indirect costs.
"But, we are bearing most of these increases and only a fraction has been passed on to the customer. For the time being, we have not increased the price of Mitubishi Pajero," Hindustan Motors vice-president S C Gupta said.
