Kanbay has big plans in India

As part of its foray into enterprise resource planning, IT services provider Kanbay International has set up a centre of excellence for ERP at its centre in Hyderabad. 

"The selection of ERP as a niche area is the natural aftermath for the company which recently announced the acquisition of Miami-headquartered ERP major Adjoined Consulting in a $165 million deal," Ken Coppoins, executive vice president (ERP) Kanbay said.

Kanbay would hire over 200 ERP professionals to augment its exisiting 100-strong ERP team in total head count of over 1300 in Hyderabad, he added. Kanbay would invest over $50 million in Hyderabad and Pune this year, Coppins said adding that the company is developing a new 15-acre campus and a global learning centre in Pune.

"Our new campus in Hyderabad will be ready by mid-April and can accommodate about 3,500 professionals," Dayakar Reddy, head, Hyderabad solutions centre said.

Kanbay has given a global revenue guidance of $375 million for this year. With a total headcount of 4,400 people, it has centres in Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.
