US-based network infrastructure major Enterasys Networks has signed a partnership agreement with Select Technologies, the networking arm of WeP Peripherals Ltd, to promote and distribute the company's products in the country.
"We are delighted to partner with Select because this will enable us to reach the untapped niche market segments and some verticals in India," Enterasys Networks director (sales, ASEAN and India) George Yong told reporters in Bangalore.
Under the partnership, Select will promote and distribute Enterasys Roamabout wireless LAN products besides Matrix switches and Xpedition routers in the enterprise space.
Besides sales, Select will also provide a wide range of services including training, logistics and technical support to the customers, Ram N Agarwal, chairman and managing director WeP Peripherals Ltd said. He said the arrangement would help in strengthening the firm's foray in networking area.
Agarwal said, Select Technologies, which it acquired in November last year, would be renamed as WeP Technologies.
"We believe there are hundreds of customers for whom we can provide an alternate service," he said.
Enteras Networks introduced the Matrix N-Series, its next generation switching products in India.
Enterasys India and Saarc country manager Uday Birje said the N-Series offers customer benefits such as investment protection, low maintenance costs, maximum network uptime and simplified configuration.
