Following in the footsteps of Indian Airlines, Jet Airways on Friday announced a $5 fuel surcharge on all international flights originating from India.
The surcharge will be applicable on tickets issued on or after June 10, the private carrier said in a statement, adding that the cost of return journey will be double the one-way journey surcharge.
However, the surcharge for Sri Lanka will be $4 per flight coupon.
The levy will also be applicable on domestic travel, which is in conjunction with international travel. But, domestic travel will be exempt of this levy, the release added.
