Is Mysuru the cleanest city in India? Share your views

Mysuru has been ranked as India’s cleanest city.

Karnataka and West Bengal have the maximum number of cities among the cleanest in the Swachh Bharat index.

According to the survey of 476 cities during 2014-15,  commissioned by the ministry of urban development, cities in South India are among the cleanest.

Thirty nine cities from the southern states, 27 from the East, 15 from the West, 12 from the North and 7 from the North-Eastern States are among the top 100 clean cities.

Among the bottom 100 cities, 74 are from the North, 21 from the East, 3 from the West and 2 from the South. 

And the dirtiest cities are: Damoh (Madhya Pradesh) at 476, preceded by Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), Palwal and Bhiwani, both in Haryana, Chittaurgarh (Rajasthan), Bulandshahar (Uttar Pradesh), Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), Rewari (Haryana), Hindaun (Rajasthan) and Sambalpur in Odisha at 467th rank.
