Infosys on Friday regained the top slot among Indian IT companies in terms of market capitalisation, edging out TCS.
Infosys closed the day with a market capitalisation of Rs 63,155.06 crore (Rs 631.55 billion) -- Rs 161.14 crore (Rs 1.61 billion) ahead of TCS' Rs 62,993.92 crore (Rs 62,994 billion).
Infosys shares gained 0.66 per cent to close at Rs 2,333.20, while TCS gained only 0.19 per cent to close at Rs 1,312.10, which led to the change in rankings.
Infosys is now ranked fourth overall behind ONGC, Reliance Industries and NTPC.
