Infosys is AUTOSAR partner

Infosys Technologies has become the first Indian company to join Automotive Open Systems Architecture development partnership to develop protocol and standards for next-generation automotive electronics.

"With our investment with AUTOSAR we will now be able to assist our automotive clients develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for next-generation automobiles," Sanjay Dutt, Infosys associate vice president and head of product lifecycle and engineering solutions, said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Other members of AUTOSAR include BMW, Volkswagen, Ford, GM, DaimlerChrysler, PSA, Toyota, Bosch, Siemens and Continental Teves.

Infosys had recently formed a Product Lifecycle and Engineering Solutions group to focus on developing embedded solutions for the automotive industry, apart from product design and PLM solutions.
