India's industrial output grew 9.7 per cent in August compared to 7.6 per cent in the same month last fiscal.
Cumulative industrial production during April-August this fiscal has increased by 10.6 per cent as against 8.7 per cent in the corresponding period of 2005-06, according to latest figures of the Index of Industrial Production.
Manufacturing sector posted a high growth rate of 11.1 per cent in August this year compared to 8.5 per cent in the same month last year, according to the government data.
