Indian Airlines on Saturday said its experiment of starting a call centre for its passengers in the national capital region has received a "good" response with nearly 4,000 telephone calls being received on a daily basis.
During the experimental stage, IA received 1,500 calls in the first week of April at the dedicated telephone number 1407 which swelled to approximately 4,000 calls per day by the end of April, an IA spokesman said in New Delhi.
As many as 18,000 passengers were booked through this telephone number which provides all details about the flights and functions round-the-clock.
The call centre was started to provide all facilities to the passengers at one number who earlier had to dial different numbers for various types of information.
