State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd on Monday a net loss of Rs 607.67 crore (Rs 6.07 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, as compared to net loss of Rs 507.89 crore (Rs 5.07 billion) for the same quarter in 2005-06.
However, the total income (net of excise) increased 37.19 per cent to Rs 20,776.19 crore (Rs 207.76 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, from Rs 15,143.71 crore (Rs 151.43 billion) for the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The shares of the company closed at Rs 221.15, up 2.93 per cent at the BSE.
