Orpak, which gains $2 million from the deal, will install the system at 425 Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd stations, business daily Globes reported.
The Israeli company stated that the project would be executed in 14 months. Orpak competed against several other bidders for the project, whose total volume is expected to reach $7 million, the daily said.
Rapac Technology also announced that its subsidiary is currently bidding for other fuel automation tenders in India, including a much larger Indian Oil Corporation contract.
It is believed that the IOL contract is for 1,200 sites and more lucrative, the report said. Orpak is slated to go public abroad, apparently at a company value of $80-100 million.
