Information technology major Hewlett Packard will invest $100 million in Asia-Pacific to boost its brand building and create retail infrastructure in imaging and printing market during the next one year, while India is likely to get about 15 per cent of the allocation.

"India is likely to receive about 15 per cent of the $100 million investment earmarked for the Asia-Pacific in brand building in imaging and printing segment," Ravi Aggarwal, director, HP-IPG India, told newspersons in New Delhi on Tuesday, while adding India and China were the two growth areas for HP in the region.

Our monthly shipment is 35,000 deskjet printers, 10,000 all-in-one printers and 8,000 scanners, and India contributes 10 per cent of the Asia-Pacific imaging and printing revenues of HP, he said, while adding India deserved to get more than its fair share in the brand-building investment amount.
