The BSE Sensex and Nifty ended flat after earlier hitting their lowest levels in 1-1/2 months as software services providers fell after Tata Consultancy Services' tepid comments on its outlook, while other blue-chips were hit by global risk aversion.
TCS provisionally fell 3.5 percent while Tech Mahindra ended down 3.7 percent.
The BSE Sensex provisionally closed 0.03 per cent lower, while the Nifty added 0.08 per cent, after earlier marking their lowest intraday levels since Oct.30.
