BSE, RBI shut on Wednesday

The Reserve Bank of India will be closed on Wednesday as Maharashtra holds the assembly elections.

"A holiday has been declared under the negotiable instruments act by the state government," an official spokesperson said today. "So, all banks, including the RBI, will be closed in Maharashtra."

The Bombay Stock Exchange too has declared a trading holiday on October 13 on account of the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
