Hindustan Lever Ltd on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs 442.86 crore (Rs 4.42 billion) for the first quarter ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 250.25 crore (Rs 2.5 billion) in Q1 FY05.
According to a release issued by the company to the BSE on Friday, total income moved up to Rs 2,867.41 crore (Rs 28.67 billion) in Q1FY06 from Rs 2,581.02 crore (Rs 25.81 billion) in Q1FY05.
