"The report will be prepared in a month's time. Today we have taken the first step in this direction by holding consultations with experts and stakeholders," labour and employment minister Mallikarjun Kharge said on the sidelines of a seminar on 'report to the people on employment'.
The President in her address to the joint session of Parliament on June 4 had said the government will initiate action within 100 days to prepare reports on the status of education, health, environment, infrastructure and employment.
The report will seek the views of the public and their feedback on the state of employment prevailing in the country and spur a national debate.
The report will reflect on issues of employment, unemployment, global employment, decent and sustainable livelihood for the people, the minister said.
