Gabriel India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 40.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2002 (DQ-02) as compared to Rs 9.80 million in the quarter ended December 31, 2001 (DQ-01). Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 692.40 million in DQ-01 to Rs 860.50 million in DQ-02.
The improved performance has been due to the strong presence of the company in OEM segment and overall growth in automobiles, particularly motorcycles and new generation cars.
