India's forex reserves drop by $30 mn

India's forex reserves came down by $30 million to stand at $165.275 billion during the week ended October 13 as against $165.305 billion during the week ended October 6.

The reserves had decreased by $1.177 billion during the preceding week ended October 6, compared to a week ago period.

The Foreign Currency Assets decreased by $30 million to $158.310 billion during the seven-day period ended October 13, according to figures release by the Reserve Bank of India.

Foreign currency assets in Dollars include the effect of revaluation of non-US currencies such as Euro, Sterling, Yen held in reserves.

Reserve position in the IMF remained static at $ 762 million. The gold reserves and SDRs also remained static at $6.02 million and $1 million, respectively.
