India's forex reserves rise to $165.37 bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $273 million to $165.37 billion for the week ended August 18, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Friday.

Foreign currency assets moved up $273 million to $158.04 billion. Gold reserves, SDRs and the Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF were unchanged at $6.56 billion, $1 million and $767 million, respectively.
