India's forex reserves rise to $140.429 bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $452 million to $140.429 billion for the week ended February 10, 2006, according to the weekly statistical supplement released by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday.

Foreign currency assets moved up $616 million to $133.991 billion. While gold reserves were unchanged at $5.680 billion, SDRs declined $2 million to $3 million.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF slipped $162 million to $755 million.
