India's forex reserves rise to $143.774 bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $678 million to $143.774 billion for the week ended October 28, 2005, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Friday.

Foreign currency assets increased $
671 million to $137.632 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.712 billion and $4 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF increased $7 million to $1.426 billion.
