Forex reserves fall to $141 bn

Foreign exchange reserves declined $1.223 billion to $140.907 billion for the week ended March 25, 2005 when compared with $142.13 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Saturday.

urrency assets dropped $1.202 billion to $135.089 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.376 billion and $5 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF was down $21 million at $1.437 billion.
