Subramanian is forex body chief

R N Subramanian, manager-foreign exchange, Canara Bank, will be the new chairman of the Forex Association of India for the current financial year 2004-05, a release from the association said Thursday. Subramanian has replaced Nelson P. Saldanha, chief dealer-foreign exchange at ABN Amro Bank.

Vikram Kadam, head of forex and interest rate trading at BNP Paribas, joins as vice chairman of the association, the release said. S.L. Mittal, chief manager-forex, Bank of Baroda, will also continue as vice chairman. Pawan Bajaj, chief dealer-forex at Bank of India, continues as the secretary of the association, it said.

These office bearers were announced after the managing committee meeting of the association held on Tuesday.
