DreamWorks Animation has struck a deal with Technicolor to develop an animation facility in India in a further sign of Hollywood's willingness to use talent in international markets. Technicolor recently acquired Paprikaas, an animation and video game company based in Bangalore.

DreamWorks said its objective was to "tap into and further develop the gifted talent base in India".

Ahmad Ouri, president of Technicolor content services, said the company was keen to expand its visual effects work. "We want to create a real centre of excellence [in India] for digital services," he said.
