Very soon, travel on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express will be one smooth and comfortable ride.
On Tuesday Indian Railways debuted the Anubhuti luxury coaches, which are manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory in Rae Bareli.

The Anubhuti coaches have been manufactured with the idea of giving passengers an aircraft-like experience during their train journey.
Forget about cramped spaces and lack of legroom! The new coaches are in the 2+2 configuration with good lighting and with LCD entertainment screens fitted in the headrest of each seat.
The seats in the new coaches are cushioned to ensure you have a comfortable journey and can recline so that you can catch a nap if you feel so inclined.
A snack table and personalised light bulbs are some of the added perks that travellers will enjoy in the new coaches.
And if the seats weren’t exciting enough, the coaches have a modular toilet with improved features such as touch-free tap and soap dispenser, hand-dryer, etc.
