The company has been selling its products that include antennas and tower top solutions for base terminal stations for mobile phone cell sites for the last 18 months.
"Till now we were selling in Indian market through two partners. Our partnership will them will continue and enhanced with the opening of India office. It will also allow us to engage with our customers and know the market well," Simon Yeung chief operating and strategy officer at Comba said.
The company's partners in India are Subex and Zte. "Apart from sales and marketing, Comba's India office will also map out the company's next step from growth, he said.
"The next step for the company in India could include starting a research and development centre or manufacturing. Nothing has been concretised. It would depend on how fast the market and the company grows," Yeung said.
In the product categories that the size of the market n India was $24 million in 2004 and will grow to $40 million this year.
"We will go substantially in the Indian market," he said, adding the company would continue to add more resources in India.
