With the Rail Budget scheduled to be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 3, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that it will be a people's budget.
"It will be a pro-people budget, a simple budget, people's budget," Banerjee told reporters after the all party meeting on the eve of the Budget session of Parliament.
She said expectation was high from the Budget and added that she barely got 15 days to work on it as the concerned officials were busy preparing it.
The minister added that the budget was being prepared in accordance with the situation (in the Railways at present).
