An amount of Rs 38 lakh has been allocated for salaries and allowances of the President in the 2009-10 budget presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in the Lok Sabha.
The Budget for the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been pegged at Rs 27.52 crore (Rs 275.2 million) in comparison to last year's Rs 22.67 crore (Rs 226.7 million).
The allocation also covers establishment-related expenses in respect of all the staff of the secretariat and expenditure on household establishment and purchase of vehicles.
