India's leading bourse, Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday said it has changed the trading time to 9.45 am to 3.30 pm effective from Friday.

"The trading will commence from 9:45 am to 3:30 pm instead of 9.55 am to 3.30 pm in the Equity and Equity Derivatives segments on all business days," a BSE press release said.

However, there will not be any change in timings of any other session in both the segments, the exchange said.

Also, the block deal window timings in the equity segment of the exchange will remain the same, it said.

In October, market regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India allowed stock exchanges to set their trading hours between 9 am and 5 pm.
