Anupam Bhide, president and CEO, CalSoft, told Business Standard that the company is seeing growth is volumes both quantitatively and qualitatively, and was hopeful of bagging contracts over $1 million soon.
"In 2005-06, our average deal size grew by 30 per cent over 2004-05. We expect deal sizes to increase by an additional 20 per cent in the current financial year, thus enabling us to cross the $1 million deal landmark," he said.
Working in the networking and storage domains, CalSoft's clients include Sun Microsystems, Network Appliances, and EMC. "We have 15 clients of which four were added last year and expect to add 4-6 more this year," Bhide said. The company grew at 60 per cent in financial year 2005-06 and recorded a turnover of $5 million.
"We expect to continue growing at 60 per cent and, hopefully, become a $8 million company," Bhide explained. With revenues doubling in two years, the company is looking to treble headcount by 2008.
"From the current 200 people we will be a 600 people company by 2008." He added saying the company will hire 120-150 people more in this fiscal itself.
Speaking about the company's investment plans for the current fiscal, he said, "Our investment outlay for the year is Rs 15 crore and if we build our own campus this year it will increase by an additional Rs 10 crore to Rs 25 crore in 2006."
The plans for the campus, he explained, "Will be finalised once we find suitable land. We are looking at Maharshtra Industrial Development Corporation's IT parks and Baner area for developing our own campus."
