Government would soon evolve an action plan to launch pilot projects in various parts of the country to promote bio-diesel as an alternative fuel.
Addressing the Parliamentary Consultative Committee, Agriculture Minister Ajit Singh said his ministry would work out various details, including the technical and commercial linkages and cost of production of bio-diesel.
A meeting of the concerned central and state government departments would be convened for early launch of the projects, an official release quoted him as saying.
