"We are having a look at the complete transaction document and getting our document ready", Rajan Mittal, joint MD, Bharti Televentures said in New Delhi.
Mittal said, "We are going to look at both the airports (Delhi and Mumbai)...we will unveil our strategy when we are absolutely near the bidding date. But our preference will be Delhi".
Regarding the other terms like five per cent revenue share set out in the document, he said, "These terms has been there from day one that there will be minimum revenue share and it is fine (a minimum five per cent revenue share which has been proposed in the transaction document).
On the government stipulation that non-aeronautical activities at Delhi airport be restricted to five per cent of the total land and 10 per cent in the case of Mumbai, Mittal agreed with the terms and said, "We believe that this is an airport project, not a real estate project. The country needs a great airport."
The government released the final transaction document on August 30 for modernisation and restructuring of Delhi and Mumbai airports and has sought bids before September 14.
At present, there are eight pre-qualified bidders for the project. The award of the contract is expected to be given by 2005-end.
