BestMed Tourism, a joint venture between Kochi-based Focuz Group and Canadian leisure travel company, Unbelievable India Tours, kickstarted its Indian operations recently.
The company will focus on promoting the medical tourism potential of the country, especially that of Kerala in overseas markets, especially in the West.
The company has already tied up with various hospitals and resorts to partner in its efforts. Hospitals and resorts are selected after careful scrutiny by a team of experts from Canada. The company is planning an aggressive promotional campaign across the prospective markets soon.
Established in 1978, the Focuz Group has interests in automobiles, information technology and tourism segments. The company has 17 divisions through four group companies with 1,600 employees across the country.
Unbelievable India Tours had been set up by a team of non-resident Keralite professionals in Canada and the US and the company has a presence in the leisure travel segment in North America.
