The Tiago NRG is available in a single fully loaded variant that has all the features from a start-stop button to a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, says Rajesh Karkera.

The Tata Tiago which was always a spacious hatchback got its first facelift in 2020.

Come 2021, and the Tiago NRG sports a new rugged look and gets plenty of butch styling touches to make it stand out from the regular Tiago and at the same time retains its spaciousness as well.

The rugged plastic body cladding makes the car look muscular and Tata's build quality can be made out from the thud you feel as soon as you close the door.

What takes the cake is the cleverly done up wheels, which unless you touch look like alloy wheels.. but once you feel it, you can make out that these are very well designed wheel covers over some well-designed steel wheels.

The best thing about NRG is the increased ground clearance of 181mm, which is 11 mm more than what the regular Tiago offers.

The Tiago NRG is available in 4 colour options -- Foresta Green, Fire Red, Snow White and Cloudy Grey -- in both manual and AMT transmission, and comes with Tata's 1.2L Revotron petrol engine under the hood.

Not to forget, it comes with a 4-star global NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) safety rating, making it the safest vehicle in the segment.

The Tiago NRG is available in a single fully loaded variant that has all the features from a start-stop button to a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Its manual version is available for ₹6.57 lakh ex-showroom, and the AMT is available for an ex-showroom price of ₹ 7.09 lakh.
