China's quality watchdog said on Monday that Porsche China will recall 640 vehicles of three models due to a potential safety belt defect.
A design defect with the safety belt may prompt the failure of the fixation function in extreme cases, threatening the safety of the occupants, said the administration. The recall involves vehicles which were produced before February 25, 2010.
Already Toyota, Honda and some of the other major car companies have reported some problems with some of their models and recalled the millions of their cars, promising to conduct free repairs.
