Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is planning to expand its used car business to all the existing dealerships in the country.

Launched in 2006, the used car brand is known as Hyundai Advantage and is being offered at 130 dealerships.

We plan to expand our used car portfolio to cover all our dealerships by the end of this financial year. It is an important segment for us to attract new customers," HMIL senior director (sales and marketing) Y K Koo said at a conference call here. Currently, the company has 296 dealer network pan-India and 597 service points.

Koo was in town to launch Hyundai's best selling compact car i10 as 'Next Gen i10' in the Uttar Pradesh market with an introductory price tag of Rs 3.51 lakh to Rs 5.93 lakh.

HMIL currently markets six models of passenger cars across segments. A2 segment includes Santro, i10 and i10; A3 segment comprises Accent and Verna Transform; and A5 segment has Sonata Transform.

HMIL sells nearly 30,000 units per month, which the company hopes could be ramped up to 50,000/month on the back of Next Gen i10.
