Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, and Reliance Industries are among the top five Asian companies operating in the energy sector to feature in the corporate governance poll of Asiamoney.
While BPCL has been ranked third in the poll, Reliance is at the fourth position.
HPCL is ranked eighth, and Castrol India features on the tenth position.
Chinese companies - Petrochina and CNOOC - have bagged the first and second positions.
India leads the poll with four companies followed by three from China, two from Thailand and one from Malaysia, the release added.
