Maruti Udyog Ltd launched a limited edition new variant of its best selling model Alto on Wednesday that will be costlier by about Rs 8,000 from the existing model.
A company official said the 'Alto Xfun' will be in two variants LX and LXi, which would be priced at Rs 277,000 and Rs 295,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
The launch of the new limited edition of Alto Xfun is to celebrate the model's outstanding sales of five lakh units in a span of six years, the official said. MUL had sold one lakh Altos in the last six months.
The new Alto comes with added features like two tone interiors, new body graphics, body coloured wheel cap and bumpers.
