Alstom Power India Ltd said it received a Rs 870-million contract by Renusagar power division of Hindalco Industries Ltd for the modernization of two of its 68 MW boilers. The contract involves upgradation of the boilers using advanced Alstom technology, including high performance mills to handle low-grade coals and efficient in-furnace low nox burners. In addition, the electrostatic precipitator will also be upgraded to limit outlet dust emission to 80 mg/nm3.
