AirTel on Wednesday offered 10 options to its pre-paid subscribers including zero calling value but 45 days of validity for a recharge card of Rs 324 and in another option offering a calling value of as high as Rs 250 but with zero validity period.
Called AirTel EasyCharge, the flexi-recharge options will give 10 possible combinations of validity and talktime on a recharge coupon of Rs 324 and will be made available to customers from Thursday.
"AirTel EasyCharge with flexible option voucher is the result of an internal research and study of customer usage patterns, which reflect the need to further customise the recharge options on the lower denomination coupon," a company release said.
For instance, a pre-paid customer may be a heavy user and therefore would exhaust the talktime before the expiry of the validity period. Likewise there could also be a customer who would not be able to exhaust his or her talktime before the validity period expires, the company said.
Inbound travellers may have a larger talktime requirement but lower validity requirements, and the company feels that the option would address these needs of the customers.
