Korean Airlines is awaiting formal clearance from the Indian government to start eight additional flights between the two countries.
"We have sought Indian government's approval to start eight additional flights a week between India and Korea. As soon as we get the formal approval we will beef up our services between the two countries," Lee Jong Hee, the president ahd COO of Korean Airlines, told newspersons on the sidelines of Korea-India Economic Summit.
Korean Airlines currently operates six flights a week between India and Korea.
"If the Indian government approval comes through it will start operating seven flights each to Korea from Delhi and Mumbai," he said.
