E-Mail this report to a friend

Ruchi Shah of Bombay has been selected to represent the Bharat Scouts and Guides for a special media training conference to be held in Illinois from July 7 to July 19.

Shah will participate in 'Press Pass 2000: Wider Opportunity', a media training conference sponsored by the Trailway Girl's Scout Council of Joliet, Illinois.

As one the Indian representatives, Shah, a student of St Anthony's High School, Chembur, will get to meet professionals from print and photo-journalism, radio broadcasting and television production, according to a press release.

Shah, who has also been awarded the Rastrapati guide certificate by President K R Narayanan, will be staying at the Olivet Nazarene college and will work with instructors in mass communications.

The event aims to bring girl scouts from all over the world together to experience unique adventures ranging from wilderness expeditions to seeing how the mass media functions behind the scenes.
