Located 45 minutes from Dabolim airport, the Taj Holiday Village is spread out across many acres and borders the beach. The restaurants are picturesque and many of the terracotta roofed cottages border the pretty, centrally located pool that has a bar attached. The village offers facilities like a disco, a billiards room, tennis courts, golf, fitness centre, business centre, beauty parlour, water sports and eight restaurants. These facilities are available to the Aguada Beach Resort and Aguada Hermitage too. There are 144 rooms in all.
The hotel offers double rooms in two or three bedroom villas (there are a few independent one bedroom cottages too) with separate private entrances.
The Fort Aguada Beach Resort, which is situated nearby on the site of a 16th century Portuguese fort, offers standard rooms on twin sharing basis in its beach front hotel
There are 130 rooms in all.
The Aguada Hermitage's offers individual villas.
The villas are shady and secluded and perched on the hillside, with awesome views of the coastline below. There are 14 villas in all.
The Taj Holiday Resorts are well located and comfortable. The place has an authentic Goan atmosphere. The service is good. Candolim and North Goa is a "happening" place. There are some great restaurants nearby (Refer to Where to Eat in Rediff Goa) and plenty of nightlife.

The Leela is a jumbo-size holiday resort with villas set in acres and acres of beachside property; 45 acres in all. It offers a range of facilities from pools and children's activity centres to a disco and a casino and plenty of sports facilities. There are 220 rooms in all.
The Leela resort is tastefully done but the atmosphere is not very Goan. Mobor is a fairly lively corner of south Goa.

Vainguinim Beach is a bit out of the way from the hub of fun. Unlike Baga or Calangute there is not much happening on this beach in terms of good food or swinging places.

The excellent location of the hotel however adequately makes up for its lack of appeal. It is situated bang on the beach and the Bogmalo beach is rather secluded.
All the rooms in this hotel offer a seaview from their balconies and the hotel possesses a health club, a swimming pool, a sauna, a bar, a hair salon, several restaurants and provides opportunities for sailing, water skiiing, golf course, para sailing, squash, water scooters and several restaurants. It is fortunate that the hotel offers this variety of facilities under its roof as there is little else to do in the vicinty of Bogmalo beach except sunbathe.

Red-roofed Portuguese style apartments overlook the pool. A non-air-conditioned room works out to approximately US $ 62 plus 15 per cent taxes.

Goa is blessed with a wide variety of middle range hotels -- with rooms going between US $10 and US $ 35 -- many of them located hardly five minutes from the beach.
