Para
Sonia Kukreja
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who's the fairest of us all?
ParaMeditating on this famous rhyme, I realised that there's more
to it than face value. This rhyme brings to surface the mental
block "amongst us all", which doesn't let us see beyond
ourselves, beyond I... Me... Myself...
ParaIf only we shed our ego, we will realise that the world we were
trying so hard to conquer is actually within each of us. Since
our ego is the barrier between the world within and the world
without, the outer garment is a dark cape, fully embellished with
fragmented mirrors.
ParaThis ego is shed to reveal the world within us, a reflection of
the beautiful world outside. This inner garment is made completely
of thread, reels, bobbins and bobbin cases.
