Twinkle, Twinkle little star, she'll drink Coke, pair with Aamir
Taking its celebrity endorsement programme further, Coca-Cola India has now signed up Bollywood starlet Twinkle Khanna (daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia) to pair with Aamir Khan for endorsing its flagship brand Coca-Cola.
The first advertisement, featuring the two cine stars, would be aired this week, company sources said today.
''This is a multi-lingual ad, in which Twinkle will star in the Hindi version while the one in south Indian languages would be done by Rambha. Aamir would be the common factor in all the ads,'' the sources added. The commercial is directed by Sabal Shekhawat, who had earlier directed the Peeti Kya Coca-Cola ad.
This would be the third Coke ad featuring Aamir Khan. The first two, which are already on air, have been directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi and Punkaj Parashar.
The company already has several tinsel town stars like Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Ramya Krishnan to endorse its various products.
CCI, the sources said, has renewed thrust on promotions for its various brands and is signing up celebrities for the purpose. In addition, it has also tied up with Warner Brothers and Channel V to promote its orange drink Fanta through the national premiere of Hollywood chartbuster You've Got Mail.
CCI also has names such as Daler Mehndi, Saurav Ganguly, Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble and Robin Singh endorsing its products. Apart from advertising campaigns, they have already been participating in consumer promotions and events across the country.
Meanwhile, the king of bhangra, Daler Mehndi, had himself dubbed the Tamil version of his ad for CCI. For shooting the advertisment, the company had brought together some of the best names in film making -- director Priyadarshan (of Viraasat fame), art director Saboo Cyril, choregrapher Ahmed Khan (of Rangeela and Satya fame) and music by Anand Raj Anand.
Coca-Cola company is the largest beverage company and is the leading producer and marketer of soft drinks. Along with Coca-Cola, the company markets Fanta, Thums Up, Limca, Maaza and other regional brands in India.
